Dr. Emily Stephenson is a caring and compassionate obstetrician and gynecologist (OB/GYN) who will be joining the Louisiana Women’s Healthcare team in September 2024.
Dr. Stephenson has a deep passion for delivering babies and building meaningful relationships with her patients. Dr. Stephenson is dedicated to ensuring that each patient feels supported, respected, and heard throughout their pregnancy journey. Dr. Stephenson takes pride in getting to know her patients on a personal level and understanding their unique stories and individual needs. She believes that strong, trusting relationships are essential for providing the best possible care. Whether guiding patients through prenatal visits, labor, or postpartum recovery, she emphasizes open communication and collaboration.
In addition to her focus on obstetrics, Dr. Stephenson provides a full range of gynecological services, from routine exams to menopause management. She is committed to empowering women with the knowledge and resources they need to make informed decisions about their health.
Dr. Stephenson grew up in Central, Louisiana. She obtained her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Science Center in New Orleans, LA. She then completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, where she also served as Chief Resident from 2023-2024.
Outside of her clinical practice, Dr. Stephenson is loving life as a new mom. She is a passionate LSU Tigers football fan and enjoys volunteering in her community and spending time with her book club.
