Dr. Candace Moore is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist (OB/GYN) at Louisiana Women’s Healthcare in Baton Rouge, offering over 20 years of expertise in both medical and surgical aspects of women’s health. A Baton Rouge native, Dr. Moore is deeply committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to the women in her community.
Dr. Moore’s approach to care centers around forming enduring partnerships with her patients, guiding them through every stage of life. Her clinical expertise spans a wide range of women’s health services, including contraception, menstrual management, intimate wellness, annual exams, cancer screenings (breast, cervical, and ovarian health), abnormal Pap smears, infertility, and maternity and postpartum care—both for low-risk and high-risk obstetrics. Additionally, she provides comprehensive gynecologic care to support pelvic health and wellness throughout a woman’s life. Dr. Moore is also skilled in minimally invasive surgical techniques, including thermal ablation, hysteroscopy, and robotic-assisted hysterectomy, offering her patients less invasive options with quicker recovery times.
After graduating from Baton Rouge High School, Dr. Moore earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi. She then received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine and completed an OB/GYN residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC).
Dr. Moore is board-certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and an active member of the South Central Obstetrics and Gynecology Society.
Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Moore enjoys watching her two children compete in sports, participating in parades, practicing photography, reading modern fiction, and spending quality time with her husband and friends.
