Dr. Candace Moore is an established and highly skilled, board certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist with over 20 years of medical and surgical expertise focused on women’s health. Born and raised here in Baton Rouge, she is devoted to serving the women of our community and providing high quality, compassionate, patient-centered care.
Dr. Moore’s approach is to have a care partnership with her patients throughout all the seasons of their lives. Her clinical expertise encompasses: contraception, menstruation management, intimate wellness, annual visits and cancer screenings (breast, cervical and ovarian health), abnormal paps, infertility, maternity and postpartum care (both low risk and high risk obstetrics), and gynecologic care through all the stages of life for optimum pelvic health and wellness. Her surgical practice includes minimally invasive surgeries and procedures, such as thermal ablation, hysteroscopy, and robotic assisted hysterectomy.
After graduating from Baton Rouge High School, she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi. She then obtained a Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, followed by the completion of her OB/GYN residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC).
She is board certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the South Central Obstetrics and Gynecology Society.
Outside of the professional arena, Dr. Moore enjoys watching her two children play sports, riding in parades, photography, reading modern fiction, and spending time with her husband and friends.
