A graduate of Louisiana State University and the Health Science Center in Shreveport, Dr. Laurie Whitaker provides compassionate gynecology and obstetrics care at Louisiana Women’s Healthcare in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She completed her internship and residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

 

Dr. Whitaker proudly offers state-of-the-art treatments using a patient-centered approach. She specializes in all areas of obstetrics and gynecology, including routine wellness examinations, minimally-invasive gynecological surgery, sterilization procedures, hormone replacement therapy, and much more.

 

Dr. Whitaker facilitates a safe, healthy birthing experience to women of all ages. She supports natural labor and delivery, the use of doulas, ambulation during labor, and intermittent electronic fetal monitoring during labor.

 

Using her educational background and years of professional experience, Dr. Whitaker works with patients to come up with individualized treatment plans they’re comfortable with. Exceeding patient expectations is Dr. Whitaker’s top priority.
